Takano Music Studio Terms and Conditions

Lessons


Takano Music Studio reserves the right to change lesson schedules when deemed necessary. In this event, we will try to give as much notice as possible.


Takano Music Studio asks all students and parents to adhere to time schedules and treat the premises, teachers and facilities like they would like to be treated.

Takano Music Studio reserves the right to use pictures or videos of students/lessons for publicity and promotional purposes. If any objections to this, then parents may opt out by contacting the teacher.

·       Music Together terms will be 10 times for spring, autumn and winter. 8 times for summer term. All the schedule is fixed and will not be changed under any circumstances. For students who miss any lessons, a catch-up lesson will be provided at the end of the term.


·       Private piano/vocal for child terms will consist of 41 lessons per year. The period starts from when the student is subscribed online. Each month the student will have between 3-5 lessons depending on the student/teacher’s schedule, but always a maximum of 41 in one year. Should students finish 41 lessons before the end of 1 year, additional lessons can be paid for at the rate of $70~ per lesson on request basis. Solfege lessons are counted as a private lesson.


·       Bi-weekly Private vocal for adult terms will consist of 24 lessons per year. The period starts from when the student is subscribed online. Each month the student will have 2 lessons depending on the student/teacher’s schedule, but always a maximum of 24 in one year. Should students finish 24 lessons before the end of 1 year, additional lessons can be paid for at the rate of $90~ per lesson on request basis.



·       Group piano lessons will take place 12 times per term, and the schedule is fixed and will not be changed under any circumstances. For students who miss any lessons, a catch-up lesson will be provided at the end of the term.


Fees

New students must pay a non-refundable registration fee of $100 upon enrolment for all courses. All course fees are to be paid prior to the first lesson. 

·       Music Together students must pay the full-term by the first week of the class. All fees paid are non-refundable.


·       Private piano students must enrol to a monthly subscription. The fee will be  deducted on the 1st day of every month. Should students fall into arrears, an administrative cost of $20 will be levied after 30days.


·       Group piano students must pay the full-term cost by the first week of the class. All fees paid are non-refundable.


Cancellation Policy

·       Students attending Music Together lessons are advised to attend all classes where possible, as lessons will not be rescheduled. However, if students are absent, there will be a few makeup sessions made available, following the scheduled end of term. Students are entitled to join these lessons without any change fee. Unused or missed classes will NOT be transferred, credited or carried over to a new or different term.


·       Students attending private piano lessons may cancel or reschedule lessons provided >24hrs notice given. If students fail to attend or cancel within 24hrs then no replacement and no refund will be given. Exceptional circumstances will be considered at the discretion of the teacher.


·       Students fail to attend group piano lessons or cancel then no replacement and no refund will be given. Exceptional circumstances will be considered at the discretion of the teacher.

Notice period

·       Private piano lessons are subject to a 30 day notice period prior to the next payment date. For example, cancelling your subscription on the 25th Feb, would result in the last payment being on the 1st March. Payments will not be adjusted pro-rata and full month payments apply. Please note that a calculation will be made to determine the pro-rated amount of lessons available to a student, based on 41 lessons per year. The number of lessons remaining on this basis will be the amount allowed in the final month during notice period.

General

·       Takano Music Studio will not bear any liability for any loss of property or personal injuries during classes or within its premises.


·       The school reserves the right to amend all course fees periodically.


·       Takano Music Studio reserves the right to include, delete or change any of the above terms and conditions with or without prior notice.
